While producing the zine I decided instead of it having a title like a photo book I would like it to be more like a magazine so instead I chose to use a logo instead. I wanted the logo to be something that reflected the content. I started looking through the images, looking for patterns or something that I could use. I didn't want to just use normal text or download something of a website like dafont. Then while looking at the images of Bedminster skate park, it hit me. GRAFFITI. Its something that goes hand in hand with skating and the whole street scene. I then started thinking about how this could be presented and I though back a few days to when I was in my friends room and I had seen his graft book (a book of his graffiti ideas). I text him and he replied instantly saying he would be happy to help. I gave him an idea of what I wanted ('BS' in large letter, done in a tag style and let him interpret it him self. I picked the work up later on and couldn't have been happier, it fitter perfectly. He had produced 12 individual tags for me to choose from, these can be seen in the images bellow. 

I then had to decide which logo I wanted to use so I uploaded each sheet onto the computer and split each tag into its own document and layer them over the part of the zine where the logo would be. I narrowed it down to 5 finals. Now it got a bit trickier so I layered each one on the inside of the cover where it would be going and did the same thing (as you can see bellow) and we had a winner. I neatened up the chosen logo and added it to the cover and inside. I decide no to make the logo too big and too keep it black as it kept it quite understated. 

I really enjoyed working with another artist from a different discipline, it makes the work feel that bit more real and professional. It also improves the aesthetic of the work massively and really ties in with the theme, attracting a wider audience and making the zine stand out. 

As I was working with another artist, I made a point of giving him recognition of the inside cover and payed him in beer. Bellow is the chosen logo.
